OKAY SO.

I figured this would go without saying, but I want to reiterate it to make sure everyone knows. If I ever do anything regarding Jizabel IC or OOC that makes you uncomfortable, or if you want to step in and tell me something you think I should know, please do not hesitate to do so. Jizabel does crazy and unpredictable things, and I will try my best to make sure to ask you before I do anything that could be potentially badtouchy. If I don't, please tell me -- I'm available on IRC (usually under Gale these days, but you can ping me with any of my characters or with Christi and I'll reply if I'm there) as well as gchat (noelle.e.rogers) and sometimes AIM (R33kingH4v0c). I realize that playing a psychopath is bound to cause some problems with characters, but I want to do my best to make sure those problems don't carry over OOC. Also, if there are other players that I should ask for permission, I will try to do that as well, granted I know who and when to ask -- I'm not familiar with all the canons in camp and I'm also not familiar with all the players. I get people mixed up easily and don't remember who plays who, so please tell me if there's someone else I should talk to as well. Because I don't want to compromise any relationships by my or Jizabel's actions.

This goes for my other characters too -- I don't want to discourage contacting me about problems with Raphael, Eugénie, Ten-chan, or Gale; but I've noticed that these problems tend to crop up most often concerning Jizabel, so I wanted to state it here. If there's anything you would like me to address, please feel free to do so; this post can be used as a crit post, a discussion post, an event-planning post, etc. I have some more things I want to do with Jizabel in the future, and before I do I want to make sure that everyone is comfortable with my actions. For reference, here are the things I have planned with Jiz... sometime in the future! This isn't a very concrete list, but if you want to know more details on things or suggest something, feel free to comment.

Oh Raph. It's only been about six months that I've had him and already he has been all over the place, in terms of emotional development. I apped him knowing he had really deep-seated issues that while I thought would be terribly interesting to examine... I didn't want to jump in too quickly. Which is why he's kind of insufferable when it comes to things like his Mountain Of Denial. I still worry if I've gone too quick at them so far, but I comfort myself with the fact that he's nowhere near being emotionally healthy just yet. As of right now, he's slightly happier about some things, and that makes a lot of difference.

He is my baby and I really do love him so much and his voice comes more naturally to me than any other character I've ever played. However, he is my backburner character at the moment. I think I'm making up for the months I spent using him as a spamwhore. I still get him out, and the odds of dropping him are low. I have a wonderful husband and the relationships he's made in camp are amazing and constantly have me excited to play out. You will only ever be able to pry him from my cold dead hands. ♥

For the first month or so of having Delita, he was my problem child. His voice is a difficult one to maintain sometimes, and he's the one I get burnt out on the most easily. However, he's settled into camp pretty well by this point, and is getting a lot more play now that I have him in a better place. I have two fabulous castmates who, whenever I thread with them, remind me how much I love Delita and why I'm so determined to have fun with him, which is more than I could've asked for. And while I would love an Ovelia in camp because she is my second favorite FFT character and her relationship with Delita is so messed up and awesome, I don't need her in camp to play Delita competently, which is nice. He misses her, of course, but he's not reliant on her presence to be okay.

The odds of dropping him are also pretty low. I think even if both my castmates dropped, I'd still be able to manage with him.

TRUE FACT: I don't see Jizabel as a long term character for me. I don't see him as a short term character either, but I highly doubt I'll have him in a year. Six months down the road, definitely. But I realize there's a limit to how long I can play him, even if the limit is a long ways away. So for now, I'm perfectly fine with him. His voice is not too difficult, and he's definitely been a very different experience from my other boys. I have an amazing cast to work with, and yes, I do love playing the tormented type. ♥ It's true, I have a thing for damaged men, and as long as that remains, I'll always love Jizabel and his monumental psychosis.

And who knows, maybe I'll end up proving myself wrong and he'll last me for years and years. Stranger things have happened!
